UPDATES

Renovations
Renovations on the Clubhouse are still underway but should be completed shortly. I know, you’ve heard it before, but this time I’m almost sure it’s true!

Once the Board is able to access the building, there’ll be a lot of work to do before we can have our Grand Re-Opening celebration and start to use the building again. We need some volunteers who are willing to give us a few hours to clean, sort and replace furniture. If you have a high school student that needs volunteer hours, this is a perfect opportunity.

Please contact us to sign-up to help. We’ll let you know when as we get more details on the construction completion. As always, thanks for supporting us. We couldn’t do what we do without you.

2020 Board of Directors
The votes are in and your 2020 Board of Directors are in place. We are very happy to report that we have a full board and to welcome our newest additions.

Margot Zukowski, President
Melissa Tyler, Vice President
Matthew Kinney, Treasurer
Christine Hanlon, Secretary
Lin Raveling, Trustee

We have lots of things in the works for the community and we look forward to a great year.

C.A. Co-Op
We are in the process of preparing to open our community C.A. Co-Op. This has been on our radar for a long time and we are thrilled that we can finally make it a reality. The Co-Op will will include a Food Pantry and Clothing Closet and will be run on a small membership fee, to offset the Association’s cost of running the program.

Co-Op membership will cost $10 per month and will include a bag that can be filled with food and/or clothing. Non-Association members will be able to fill their bag twice per month, while Association members will enjoy three visits per month.

We will need volunteers to help at the Co-Op during open hours and to sort and shelve products. Please contact us if you’d like to donate clothing or help.

HLECA Property Security
I’m sure everyone is aware of the recent break-in and vandalization of the Clubhouse, along with the numerous trespassing calls we’ve received.

We started purchasing security cameras and are in the process of getting them installed. Our goal is to have the entire building, inside and out, covered by security cameras shortly after we re-open. We are also working closely with the county to install a large gate and to repair the fence to further our efforts to keep trespassers off of the property.

All events are still in the planning phases based on the completion of building renovations. Please Save the Dates, more details are on the way!
